The debut album "Kairos" by Newfound Chamber Winds showcases a beautiful mix of modern chamber music by composers David Biedenbender, Anna Clyne, Keaton Garrett, Caroline Shaw (arr. Danielle Fisher), and Jeff Scott. "Debut" is used loosely -- this is the same star group responsible for "Preludes and Recitations". Formerly known as the Maryland Chamber Winds, as their members and mission have spread, a new name was needed to frame their fame, as it were. First founded in 2015, the ensemble aims to create a more communal, collaborative, and imaginative world through performances of the highest quality, revitalization of the chamber winds repertoire, accessible education programs, and community engagement—all while utilizing our ensemble's artistic excellence, diverse experiences, and passion for education. Their newest album does just that.
